WILD. SPECTACULAR.

The vast, fertile plains of the Masai Mara boasts over 450 bird species and both resident and transient populations of lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant, giraffe, to name a few. This makes Elephant Pepper Camp ideal for observing the spectacle of the Great Migration when, from July to November, over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti in search of greener pastures with their predators creeping sneakily behind them.

LUXURY. ADVENTURE.

Stars shine bright at this remote location, undimmed by artificial lights. Sit back and listen to the sounds of lion, leopard and hyena foraging and hunting, from the comfort of your campfire or duvet. Tea and freshly-baked biscuits ease you into a morning of game drives or bush walks across the conservancy with our highly experienced local guides and wildlife rangers. Be warmed by blankets on a night game drive back to camp after sundowners in the bush.

About The Masai Mara

MASAI MARA NATIONAL PARK

The Masai Mara, in the southwest of Kenya, is an awe-inspiring place, teeming with wildlife. Here, a rich tapestry of animals, including lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, elephant, and over 500 bird species, thrives amidst vast, fertile plains.

Renowned as one of the 'Seven Wonders of the World,' the Masai Mara dazzles with the epic annual migration from July to November. Over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebras journey from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara, on a quest for greener pastures, with their predators following stealthily behind.

The Masai Mara National Reserve, spanning 1510 Km2, is part of the Greater Mara-Serengeti Ecosystem. A precious partnership with Masai pastoralist communities who protect these lands. Surrounding conservancies extend the wildlife haven and ensure equitable benefits for all.

Nestled in the southern Masai Mara, Sand River Masai Mara enjoys a tranquil, private setting. It borders the Serengeti National Park, sitting directly at the heart of the migration route. The camp, named after the nearby small rocky river, offers breathtaking views from every tent.
